Fairbanks: Aurora Ice Museum Ticket and Guided Tour

About This Experience
This is the daytime companion to a Fairbanks aurora trip — a 45-minute guided visit to the Aurora Ice Museum at Chena Hot Springs Resort, the world's largest year-round ice environment. You meet your guide at the resort and step into a space kept continually at a cool 25°F (-7°C) by a special absorption chiller, so it stays frozen through Alaska's short summers too.
Your guide walks you through the history of the museum and its most notable ice sculptures before you're free to roam and photograph the vibrantly lit ice shapes yourself. A warm parka is provided at the door, so you don't need your own cold-weather gear for the visit.
The optional add-on here is the ice bar's signature Appletini, served in a hand-carved ice glass (21+, purchased separately at the resort desk before your tour).

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I see the northern lights on this tour?
No — this is a daytime/indoor museum visit, not an aurora-viewing tour. Pair it with one of our evening aurora tours, or the combined Chena Hot Springs Day Tour, if seeing the lights is your main goal.
Do I need warm clothes for the museum itself?
A warm parka is provided at the door, so you're covered for the 25°F museum interior. You'll still want your own warm clothing, hat, and gloves for getting to and from the resort.
Is the Appletini included in the price?
No, it's an optional extra (21+) purchased separately at the Chena Hot Springs Resort desk before your tour.
